We’ve all been there whenever we go on a long car trip with our parents or friends, you get bored, uncomfortable, hungry and when you get out of the car you look like a zombie.
Not anymore with these tips! I’ve been going on car holidays my entire life and I’ve perfected my travel style, here are some tips to help you survive the car ride!
Beauty
1. Tinted Lip Balm (ELF)/ 2. Blotting sheets (Catrice)/ 3. Collapsable Hair Brush (HEMA)/ 4. Moisturizer (Clinique)/ 5. Water Mist (Evian)/ 6. Perfume Sample (ChloƩ)/ 7. Dry Shampoo (Batiste)/ 8. Highlight & Concealer Duo (ELF)
These are perfect products to help get rid of your ‘zombie-look’ when you stop by the side of the road. Use the blotting sheets to soak up excess oil from your face and the dry shampoo to freshen up your hair, bring a hair tie and brush to style if needed. A moisturizing mist and coloured lip balm brighten up your complexion immediately. You can also highlight and conceal your under eye circles or any blemishes with a duo product like this one from ELF. I also carry a little perfume sample with me to freshen up as well.
Comfort
And it’s always important to be comfortable, I take these items with me on a long trip:
- Sleeping mask
- Pillow
- Fan
- Blanket
- Scarf
- Socks
- Headphones or earbuds
Here’s what I do to combat boredom:
- (Audio) Book
- Magazines
- Nintendo DS (or other gaming device)
- TV Shows (dvd player or ipad)
- iPad/iPhone Games
- Music
I’m currently watching Bob’s Burgers on my iPad or listening to the Harry Potter books. An actual book I took with me is ‘Not that kind of girl’ by Lena Dunham which I have been loving as much as her TV show GIRLS! You can add Movies or Tv Shows to an apple device by converting the format and using itunes or you can use a third party app like PlayerXtreme, which is what I use.
I made you guys a 2 hour spotify playlist with the kind of music that I love to listen to while I look out the window in the car!
