Hey babes!

Origins came out with a ‘mask primer’ and of course I had to test it out! The Maskimizer is supposed to prep your skin for your favorite mask. Using this primer will help you soften your skin and retain the moisture. You spray and pat down this primer before using your mask.

I tried this using the Mario Badescu Healing and Soothing mask and here are the things I noticed:
* the mask was easier to apply
* it was harder to wash off the mask when it was dry
* my skin felt softer afterwards

I think what this spray mostly does is help your skin get as much moisture as possible, it would be best to use with a drying mask that has hydrating qualities because a clearing or detoxifying mask would do the opposite of what this spray wants to do.

I think I’ll use this spray mostly with my Mario Badescu mask or with a clay mask that is also hydrating. I’m a little disappointed because I expected more from this product, especially because it costs €20,99. It doesn’t do nothing but it doesn’t do a lot either. I’ll definitely experiment more with this to see what works but I won’t purchase it again!
Would you buy this primer?
Thanks for reading!
xoxo Christine

  1. Ik zou het wel eens willen proberen want zelfs de meest hydraterende maskers helpen amper bij mij, misschien dat het bij mijn extreem droge huid meer effect heeft?
