We’ve all had it happen to us, you spill something on your shirt, you get a grass stain from sitting in the park or basically any stupid stain that finds their way into your life. Stain removers can be very chemical and if you want to make your entire life more natural or vegan, you may be on the lookout for a new stain remover. I decided to try this vegan and zero waste stain remover.
Besides being vegan and zero waste because of the packaging, it’s also fully biodegradable. I love looking for biodegradable soaps and cleaners because once you rinse away the product, it ends up in our water ways and into nature. If we can make sure products we use our biodegradable and non-toxic, we are going another step into the right direction.
You get the directions on the side of the packaging, you can either use it by directly rubbing it onto a stain or you can rub it on a cloth first and then on the stain. You can also use it in combination with soaking to get better results.
There is barely any packaging on this bar. Only a small piece of paper kept together by a little piece of tape. The bar is quite small but a little goes a long way. I was a little hesitant to use a block to remove stains because I wasn’t sure how easy it would be. In the end it was quite easy to use, the only thing you need to be careful of is that you don’t get the entire bar wet, because then it’s not as easy to hold onto.
I tried the bar out on a heavily stained baseball cap and a shoe. These were both things that I hadn’t been able to get clean at all so I wasn’t very hopeful.
I tried both ways, with a cloth and directly onto the stain and because the stains were that bad, I soaked both as well. The stains didn’t disappear completely but they got way way better. They’re much less noticeable and some parts are gone. I think this would definitely work well on your daily stains, especially if you get to the stain quickly. I might try a second round to see if it does more but I’m very happy with the results already.
I think this stain remover bar is very comparable to your regular stain remover because the old ones I had weren’t completely successful either. I find that stain removers that work perfectly also have the danger of making bleaching stains and irritating the skin because of chemicals.
