I’m one of those people that goes 100kms an hour and doesn’t notice she’s going too fast until she crashes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I love working out to relieve my pressure but I sometimes forgot your body and mind also need REST. Doing ‘nothing’, being still, at home, in the moment and taking some quiet metime.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I recently learned I have ADHD. I’ve been assuming I had ADD for about 10 years now and finally consulted an organisation that helps you navigate to a diagnosis.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now that I can place these feelings of restlesness. I can figure out little tricks to try and make myself rest. One of them is keeping me inside a room with things like my diffuser, a candle, some incense or music playing. These tie me to the room in a very physical way: scent, touch, hearing,..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because I’m forced to stay in that room a little more I can then try and focus on things like reading, naps, journalling, stretching, meditation,..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m still finding my way and definitely don’t do this enough but I wanted to share this little tip for any other restless souls out there ☺️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ve been going on some more walks lately because I’ve been feeling a lot better (I have mononucleosis) and the sun has been shining! I’m enjoying the sun so much, can’t wait to go to the park and sit down when the temperature gets better ☀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Because I’m getting out of a period of feeling really really shitty spring is hitting me hard. I actually feel like I’m blooming just like these flowers and I’m getting my groove back.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ve discovered so much about myself and my (mental) health lately that I have been working on and need to work on more and this weather is giving me positives vibes to do it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
